Access, Parking Ankogel – Mallnitz

The ski resort of Ankogel is located in the heart of the National Park Hohe Tauern region. Access to the high mountain lifts in Ankogel is either via Spittal an der Drau (Tauernautobahn motorway), Lienz (from the north via the Felbertauern Tunnel) or by the Tauern motorail (Tauernschleuse operated by the ÖBB). The Tauern motorail generally runs once an hour between Böckstein in the Gastein Valley and Mallnitz From the village of Mallnitz, it is then around 3 kilometres to the base station of the Ankogelbahn lift in the idyllic Seebachtal valley. The car parks at the base station are free of charge.
