The Ani ski resort rises on the forested slopes of Mt. Moriyoshi. Abundant natural snowfall creates the famous "snow monsters" below the summit every winter. The ski runs are easy and intermediate, but the winter sports area stands out with plenty of freeride terrain in the open birch forests.
