The small ski area Altglashütte near Bärnau is no longer in operation. It was closed in 2019. However, the cross-country skiing center Silberhütte/Zlaty potok on the border ridge of the Bohemian Forest (700 – 900 m) still offers 42 km of trails and skating tracks, some of which are snow-covered. There are also numerous parking spaces and functional buildings with changing rooms and showers, as well as a laser biathlon facility.
