Due to the ski resort’s altitude, they are able to offer comprehensive snow-making and normally have a high level of snow security from November until April. Snow-making is not done on the difficult Birgitzkoepf slope, so if there is little snow, this slope can be partially bare. It is always possible to ski down to the parking lot.
Worth knowing
- Artificial snow-making
80 % of the slopes have snow-making capabilities
- The valley run is always open when ski resort is open; without the valley run, ski operation is not possible.

The slope preparation is excellent.
Overnight, the slopes are returned to a first-class condition.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.
The parking lots begin directly below the Schoenbodenbahn. A well-developed mountain road leads from the Inn Valley (Inntal) to Axamer Lizum. When driving from Germany, it is possible to use a toll-free approach (without using the Austrian Autobahn) over Garmisch /Zirler Berg.

The trail map provides a good overview and includes altitudes and mountain stations. It could be added that the Schoenbodenbahn is a covered/bubble lift.
Information boards and sign-postings on the slopes:
The information boards at the valley station and in the ski resort are comprehensive and clear. Certain signs in the ski resort could be a bit more extensive so that even those skiers who are new to the resort could quickly orient themselves.
The ski resort makes a very clean impression.
