Slope offering, variety of runs at the ski resort Willingen – Ettelsberg
Ettelsberg and Hoppernkopf offer the longest runs in the Sauerland, with about half a dozen slopes featuring several variants. However, the descents are at most of intermediate difficulty. At Ettelsberg, the slopes start off very gently, lead into a steeper section, and then level out again. The Köhlerhagen side and Hoppernkopf have a more consistent profile. The slopes are wide, partly completely open, and offer great views.

Longest run
- Connecting slope · Length 2.3 km · Elevation difference 208 m
The forest run from the mountain station of the Sonnenlift to the Ritzhagen and back is a leisurely trail, especially popular with children. The final section follows the conveyor belt that connects from the Ettelsberg.
Most difficult run
- Köhlerhagen 2 · Length 0.3 km · Elevation difference 70 m
Short, relatively steep, intermediate-rated slope, to the left of the Köhlerhagen 2 lift (as seen from below). Exit also possible to the Ettelsberg cable car.
Slope tip
- Köhlerhagen run 1
The well over 1.5-kilometer-long snow-covered slope to the right of the K-1 Köhlerhagenbahn is perhaps the most beautiful slope in the Sauerland – and incidentally also the favorite of Willingen cross-country skiing legend Jochen Behle.
