Evaluation
The former Wakabuna Kogen ski area was opened in 1987 and operated for several decades. Although a reopening was planned for the 2019/2020 winter season, the area was unable to operate even once that season due to a lack of snow. Thus, March 21, 2019, remains the last day of operation for the ski area. Between 2021 and 2022, all four lift facilities were completely removed.
