The evaluation is done as follows
Access, Parking Thredbo
Thredbo is located about 500 kilometers southwest of Sydney (a good 5-hour drive) and is easily accessible from the capital, Canberra (just under a 2.5-hour drive). A mountain road leads from Jindabyne directly to Thredbo. The ski resort is situated in the Snowy Mountains within Kosciuszko National Park. Therefore, you have to pay an expensive entrance fee to the park per day and per car. Parking at the Friday Flat base station at the Gunbarrel Express is then free of charge. In the village of Thredbo at the Kosciuszko Express, parking spaces are limited. Additionally, carrying snow chains is mandatory (except for 4WD/all-wheel drive vehicles). Snow chains can be rented in Jindabyne.
