The "Tauplitzalm-Dorf" is unique in Austria. It is a ski village at an altitude of 1,650 meters, offering around 1,000 guest beds, rustic huts, and charming restaurants. The "Alm" is car-free in winter. Transportation is provided by piste machines and skidoos. At the valley station of Tauplitzbahn 1, you'll find the mountain village of Tauplitz with an additional 1,800 guest beds. In the town of Bad Mitterndorf, there are also several hotels located along the valley run. However, there are no lifts from Bad Mitterndorf into the ski area, and a ski bus operates instead.
