Since the 2017/18 season, winter guests in Warth have benefited from direct access to the Ski Arlberg ski area with the new Dorfbahn Warth. The 8-seater gondola connects the village center with the ski area. Thanks to the direct connection with the Dorfbahn Warth, the inconvenient journey by bus or car is no longer necessary.
The vision of a direct connection between the village of Warth and the ski area has existed for decades. In autumn 2016, the project became concrete and was implemented in record time. The 8-seater cable car starts directly from the village square into the ski area. With the Dorfbahn Warth, you can now reach the slopes in about two and a half minutes.
Previously, the Dorfbahn Warth operated as Pettneu-Lavenar in Pettneu am Arlberg. After the closure of the ski area there, the 8-seater cable car was dismantled, completely overhauled, and rebuilt in Warth.
