Since the 2017/18 season, winter guests in Warth have benefited from a direct entry to the Ski Arlberg ski area thanks to the new Dorfbahn Warth. The 8-seater gondola connects the village center with the ski area. With the direct connection provided by the Dorfbahn Warth, the inconvenient journey by bus or car is no longer necessary.
The vision of a direct connection from the village of Warth to the ski area has existed for decades. In autumn 2016, the project became concrete and was implemented in record time. The 8-seater cable car starts directly from the village square into the ski area. In just about two and a half minutes, the Dorfbahn Warth now takes you to the slopes.
Previously, the Dorfbahn Warth operated as Pettneu-Lavenar in Pettneu am Arlberg. After the closure of the ski area there, the 8-seater cable car was dismantled, completely overhauled, and rebuilt in Warth.
