The expansion of the Kempten-Sonthofen road into a four-lane expressway means the ski resort of Söllereck is now just a short drive from the A7 Memmingen-Füssen motorway. When the Söllereckbahn lift was constructed in the 2020/21 season, the 10-person gondola lift was relocated. The base station is now situated right next to the main road and lots of parking spaces. This is very convenient and avoids the previous walk. Charges apply for the car parks.
