Access, Parking Sölden
The Sölden ski resort is located in the rear part of the Ötztal valley. The road winds its way for almost 40 km from the motorway exit of the Inntal Autobahn through the Ötztal. The road is very well developed. At the Giggijoch and Gaislachkogl base stations, there are usually sufficient and exclusively asphalted paid parking spaces available. Both lifts also offer a parking garage (each with more than 500 parking spaces). In spring, summer, and autumn, you can even drive your car up to the glacier ski areas of Rettenbach and Tiefenbach at 2,796 m. The Ötztal Glacier Road to the glaciers is a toll road. However, the toll is only charged to non-skiers. Skiers with a valid ski pass can use the toll road free of charge.
