Transport capacity of 4,500 people per hour in Sölden

Circulating ropeway/gondola lift at the ski resort Sölden

Giggijochbahn 1/17

Giggijochbahn

When it opened, the Giggijochbahn was the most powerful cable car in the world. The state-of-the-art 10-seater gondola lift transports up to 4,500 people per hour. The lift system from Doppelmayr also impresses with its comfort and design.

The 10-seater gondola lift Giggijoch was opened in November 2016. It replaced the 8-seater gondola lift Giggijoch. Thanks to the new lift system, which was the most powerful in the world at the time of its opening, you can now reach the Giggijoch at 2,283 m from Sölden even faster and without waiting times.

Another advantage of the lift is the so-called "Level Walk In". This guarantees barrier-free access to lifts and slopes. In addition, there are always ten gondolas, similar to a subway train, lined up closely together in the station, allowing guests to board comfortably and safely.
