The ski resort was founded by a group of ski enthusiasts. They recognized the unique challenges around Hidden Peak, Mount Baldy, and the Twin Peaks. To this day, it attracts a special kind of skier and snowboarder.
Snowbird offers very diverse terrain. Groomed and ungroomed runs, easy to difficult slopes, powder fields, steep forest descents, runs through trees and woods (tree skiing), bowls, and cliffs all delight within the controlled ski area boundaries. Thanks to the regularly abundant fresh snowfall, you can repeatedly enjoy wonderful powder days and incredible deep-snow descents.
Advanced and expert skiers will find endless possibilities everywhere. Beginners will find their territory in the lower area. The ski resort is located in the western foothills of the Rocky Mountains in the Wasatch Mountains and offers a magnificent panorama.

Interconnection information
Snowbird is directly connected to the Alta ski area via gates (transitions). The main transition is located in Mineral Basin at the top station of the Baldy Express chairlift near Sugarloaf Pass. To use both ski areas, you need a ski pass that is valid for both.
