Access, Parking Snowbird
The Snowbird ski resort in the state of Utah is located southeast of Salt Lake City in the Wasatch Mountains. It takes only about 35 minutes to reach the ski area from Salt Lake City and about 45 minutes from the international airport. The drive leads along a mountain road through Little Cottonwood Canyon.
In winter conditions, administrative regulations come into effect (UDOT Traction Law: rules for snow chains, winter tires, and/or all-wheel drive). The road may be temporarily closed due to avalanche danger.
There are usually enough parking spaces at the base stations. The more distant parking lots are free of charge. The closer ones require payment, reservation, or valet service.
