Families and children feel very much at home in the Ski Juwel. A KidsRun and a Funslope offer plenty of variety and fun for the whole family. Children's areas, childcare facilities, and several practice lifts are spread throughout the ski area. Children can start out in the children's area, then progress to the practice lifts, and finally use the other lifts. The Schatzberg Zwergenland is particularly recommended. Located at the mid-station of the Schatzbergbahn, Zwergenland is ideal for first ski attempts, improving skills, and playing in the snow.
There is also the 5 km long Schatzberg toboggan run in Wildschönau, which goes from the mid-station down to Auffach. The Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser, a year-round alpine coaster, starts right at the mountain station of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn.

KidsRun Wiedersberger Horn
The KidsRun is located at the Gmahbahn. Figures, waves, and steep turns bring lots of fun to the children.
Zwergenland Schatzberg: children's area/beginner zone
At the mid-station of the Schatzbergbahn, a large children's area awaits those booked for ski courses. The Skischule Wildschönau looks after children from the age of 4. With magic carpets, a snowball playground, the large Schatzberg igloo, a ski carousel, and a photo wall, learning to ski and playing in the snow becomes a real pleasure.
Zwergenland Schatzberg: Children's fun area & magic carpet
At the mid-station of the Schatzbergbahn, the Zwergenland is ideal for families. Outside the children's area, an XL magic carpet is publicly accessible. The fun area with a wave track and fun elements is exciting. Easy slopes at the platter lift and the drag lift are available. A toboggan run into the valley also starts here. The mountain inn Koglmoos next to the Schatzberg Zwergenland is ready for a break.
Funslope Wiedersberger Horn
The funslope is located on the family run. Funny boxes with sounds, a wave track, steep turns, and a tunnel make the funslope fun for the whole family.
Top of Alpbachtal
Spectacular views await at the Top of Alpbachtal. The 13-meter-high observation tower at the mountain station of the Hornbahn 2000 offers a magnificent 360° panoramic view from the highest point in the ski area. The tower is made of wood, features large glass fronts, and has a viewing platform.
Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser
Since the 2017/18 season, the modern Alpine Coaster has been located right next to the mountain station of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn in Alpbach. The Lauser-Sauser takes you downhill at speeds of up to 40 km/h, over two jumps, waves, and through two 360° spirals. On the 1.5-kilometer-long route towards the Kohlgrubenlift, you overcome 134 meters of elevation. Both young and old guests can enjoy a fast-paced ride and lots of fun here. At the end, you simply stay seated and a cable pull comfortably takes you back to the starting point.
Children’s Area Juppi Do
The Kinderland Juppi Do is located right at the valley station of the Reitherkogelbahn in Reith im Alpbachtal. There is an area with carpets for complete beginners and an area with a magic carpet (conveyor belt) and various trails for those who are already confident on skis. The ride through the magic forest and the colorful obstacle course is a great experience.
Frosty's Snow World of the Alpbach Aktiv Ski School
The children's area is located at Wiedersberger Horn near the Hornboden inn, below the mountain station of the gondola lift. Comprehensive children's ski courses are offered. There are two SunKid magic carpets, one of which is even covered.

The children's area is located in Inneralpbach at the Kinderhotel Galtenberg. With a covered magic carpet, fun figures, and a carousel, learning to ski becomes child's play.
Children's practice area of the Skischule Alpbach
In the children's area in Inneralpbach, kids learn their first steps in the snow with a dedicated children's lift—undisturbed by regular ski operations. The area is located at Hotel Galtenberg in Inneralpbach.
Childcare at the Kids Center
Childcare for children aged 2 to 4 years. Children are looked after by the hour (without skiing) in the facilities located below the mountain station of the Alpbacher Gondelbahn (at "Frosty's Schneewelt").
