The ski resort Schönfeld – Thomatal is located in the Lungau (Austria, Salzburg (Salzburger Land)).
For skiing and snowboarding, there are 1.8 km of slopes available. 2 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,740 and 2,100 m.
The Schönfeld ski area is located on a tranquil alpine pasture in the municipality of Thomatal in the Lungau Nockberge mountains. After being closed for several years and with the lifts at Karneralm dismantled, some of the lifts in Schönfeld have been reopened for skiing. This natural snow area focuses on family-friendly offers away from mass tourism and on nature experiences. The Schönfeld winter sports area is also particularly popular with cross-country skiers and ski tourers.
