Around the Glocknerwiese, the entire ski area—from the lifts to the slopes—is perfectly tailored to the needs of families and beginners. Schmidolin, the fun holiday dragon from the Schmitten, gets the youngest guests really excited. He delights young and old alike with fun and games, including Schmidolin's Kidsslope, Drachenpark, and Drachentunnel. Children between 4 and 12 years old can become members of the free Schmidolin Fanclub.
The Schmitten ski area also offers a wide range of ski schools. In Schüttdorf, Schmittental, and Viehhofen, there are large children's areas with conveyor belts and fun figures. The child-safe Ketting and Glockner lifts complete the offer for little ones at the top of the mountain. Families and children feel especially comfortable at Familotel Amiamo, located right on the slope in Schüttdorf.

Schmidolin's Kidsslope
The Kidsslope is located at the Glocknerbahn. The combination of obstacles, waves, tunnels, and a slalom course guarantees lots of fun for children – adventure guaranteed!
Schmidolin's Dragon Park
Kids learn a lot in the children's area "Schmidolins Drachenpark". The Drachenpark is located on the Glocknerwiese and offers fun races, wave tracks, archways, and obstacles for children.

The children's area above the areitXpress mountain station offers a covered conveyor belt "Schmidolins Drachentunnel" as well as obstacles and figures. It is an ideal terrain for little ones.

At the valley station of areitXpress in Schüttdorf, there is an ideal children's area with a magic carpet and Bambilift.

The ski school is one of the largest in Austria and operates several children's areas in the ski resort, including at the valley station of the areitXpress in Schüttdorf, in Schmittental, as well as at the mid-station in Zell am See.
