The evaluation is done as follows
Environmental protection of the ski resort Schladming – Planai/Hochwurzen/Hauser Kaibling/Reiteralm (4-Berge-Skischaukel)
In 2002, Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen became the first ski resort to voluntarily undergo an "ecological ski area audit," during which all processes and company divisions were examined for environmental compatibility. The mountain railways received outstanding marks, particularly in the area of slope revegetation.
In gastronomy, the majority of establishments focus on local cuisine. The association of Genussspecht hosts on the Planai is considered a promise by the local hut operators to increasingly use regional ingredients.
The entire 4-Berge-Skischaukel also plays a pioneering role in mobility. A very dense ski bus network transports winter sports enthusiasts from their accommodations to the various entry points. Thanks to the Schladming train station, which can also be reached directly from Germany, a completely car-free holiday is possible.
Recognition award from the "Pro Natura - Pro Ski" Foundation for conducting an eco-audit
- Train connection
Train stations are located in Pichl (100 m from the valley station), Schladming (with bus connection to the ski area), and in Haus im Ennstal (with bus connection to the ski area). In Schladming, EC trains from Germany also stop. - Ski buses
- Scheduled buses
- Free use of the ski buses throughout the entire Schladming-Dachstein region with a valid ski pass
