From the entrance of the largest hotel in the Winterberg holiday world, the Dorint Hotel & Resort (550 beds), it is exactly 200 meters to the Postwiese. The ski area was named after the Gasthof zur Post (33 beds), which is located right on the ski slope and has been there since 1850. As early as the beginning of the 20th century, the first winter sports enthusiasts stayed here.
