The village of Nauders is not located directly at the ski area (but there is a very good ski bus connection), cross-country trail feesDescription Nauders am Reschenpass – Bergkastel
Just before the Italian border, right after Nauders, the Bergkastel six-person gondola takes you up to the Bergkastel at an altitude of 2,200 m. From here, the Zirmbahn, the first eight-seater chairlift in the Alps, continues up to 2,650 m. From the top, you can ski down wide, treeless slopes ranging from easy to intermediate back to Bergkastel.
Around the central station at Bergkastel, the Goldsee six-seater chairlift with heated seats, child safety features, and weather hoods gives access to easy slopes and the Goldpark Nauders. The Flowparks Nauders are also located at the Goldseebahn. Beginners can practice their first turns on the covered conveyor belts in the Snow Base at Bergkastel.
If you take the connecting trail towards Tscheyeck, you'll reach easy to intermediate forest runs that lead to the Jochelius restaurant. From here, the Gaisloch six-seater chairlift takes you back to Bergkastel. The detachable six-seater chairlift with weather hoods, Tscheyeck, brings you up to the 2,700 m high Tscheyeck. The Panoramalift then takes you to the highest point in the ski area at 2,750 m on the Gueser Kopf.
For the descent to the valley, the intermediate Bergkastel valley run is highly recommended. This run alternates between connecting trails and descents through the mountain forest. You can stop for refreshments at the Stieralm and Lärchenalm. In good weather, you can also enjoy your snack and the magnificent view outdoors.
For the last 300 m to the gondola, you should keep your skis or boards running, as the slope ends relatively flat. You can ski right up to the entrance of the gondola without having to cross a road – a real advantage! An easy ski trail leads directly to Nauders and to the hotels in the village.
