Sustainable investments in Nassfeld: €23 million for environmental friendliness and modernisation
The mountain railways in Carinthia's largest ski resort – Nassfeld – are investing around 23 million euros in modern, energy-efficient technologies this year. Projects such as the construction of the new Gartnerkofelbahn (10-seater gondola lift), the optimisation of the snow-making system, new snow machines and snow groomers with innovative snow depth measurement are consistently reducing the carbon footprint. The package of measures is complemented by further renovations and expansions.

New construction of the Tröglbahn
- New construction of the Tröglbahn, which is scheduled to go into operation at the start of the season on 6 December 2024. The detachable 6-seater chairlift will replace the existing 4-seater chairlift and will be equipped with the latest safety and comfort standards.- Construction of a modern ‘PREMIUM’ ski depot with space for around 1,200 pairs of skis at the Millennium Express valley station in Tröpolach.
