Kühtai is a sustainable holiday resort. 100% clean electricity is supplied directly from the nearby Sellrain-Silz hydroelectric power plant. A photovoltaic system on the House of Tourism produces sustainable energy. 90% of all businesses in Kühtai receive heat from a biomass heating plant that uses exclusively local biomass. Kühtai is also home to the highest charging station for electric vehicles in Tyrol. Travel by public transport is actively promoted. Free ski buses run from the train stations in Innsbruck and Ötztal as well as from Imst, Silz, Sellrain, Gries, and the Hochoetz ski area. Proper waste separation and ecological snowmaking using modern facilities are ensured.

There are two train stations suitable for traveling to the ski area. Ötztal Bahnhof is located 21 km away. Innsbruck station is 36 km from the ski area. Free ski buses run to Kühtai. - Ski buses

- Two regular bus lines run to Kühtai. One bus line connects Kühtai with Innsbruck and another with Silz/Ötztal Bahnhof. The buses also serve as free ski buses. A free ski bus regularly connects the Kühtai ski area with the Hochoetz ski area.
