Advanced skiers will love Kitzbühel’s many difficult slopes and ski routes. The wide selection of powder slopes on the Zweitausender, Hochsaukaser, Steinbergkogel and Pengelstein are a particular attraction for experts. The Mausefalle on the Streif is very steep. This is the site of the annual Hahnenkamm race. With gradients of 70%, the Direttissima run (Schlagl) should also not be underestimated. Avalanche transceiver checkpoints providing updates on the current avalanche situation are available at nine mountain stations.
