Kappl describes itself as the sunniest ski resort in the Paznaun region. Thanks to the south-east orientation of the slopes, they are indeed bathed in plenty of sunshine. Kappl offers beautiful slopes of all levels of difficulty. The runs are pleasantly wide. Most of the slopes are of intermediate difficulty. However, advanced skiers will also get their money's worth with several challenging slopes, ski routes, and a large freeride area. Beginners and families will find a spacious practice area at the mountain station of the gondola lift.

The start of the Lattenabfahrt is at the mountain station of the Alblittkopfbahn. From here, the impressive Lattenabfahrt leads into a scenic valley. Since the 2014/15 season, the Lattenabfahrt has been equipped with snowmaking facilities.
