The traditional ski resort Hovden opens up the slopes of Nos (1,183 m) and Hovdenuten (1,119 m). The first chairlift on Nos was put into operation as early as 1968. Various lift systems take winter sports enthusiasts up for skiing. The mainly easy and intermediate slopes are located partly above and partly below the tree line. At the valley station Hovden Skisenter, children's and beginner areas await. A snow park for the more daring is also available in the Hovden winter sports area.
