The Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski resort is located at the end of the Ötztal valley, surrounded by snow-covered three-thousand-meter peaks. From the Inntal motorway, it takes just under an hour to reach the first access point at nearly 1,800 meters above sea level via the Hochgurglbahn I in Pill (formerly Untergurgl). Parking here is free of charge. Additional paid parking spaces, including a parking garage, can be found at the Festkoglbahn at the entrance to Obergurgl and at the Rosskarbahn/Hohe Mut Bahn.
Parking in Hochgurgl (2,150 m) and Obergurgl (1,930 m) is quite limited, as most spaces are reserved for hotel guests. Almost all accommodations are located directly on the slopes, so you can leave your car parked for your entire ski holiday. Snow chains should always be kept in your car, as the road climbs steeply after Sölden and you should always expect snow at this altitude.
