Ski lifts at the ski resort Grossglockner Heiligenblut
From Heiligenblut, the Rossbach four-person gondola lift takes you into the ski area. At the Rossbach mid-station, you can choose to continue with a gondola lift up to the Schareck or take the tunnel railway towards the Fleissalm. The Tunnelbahn Fleissalm is a unique railway in the world. Two sets of 11 cabins, each accommodating 5 people, transport about 500 people per hour in each direction through an old water tunnel from the Rossbach mid-station over to the Fleissalm and back. The route is approximately 1.6 km long and overcomes a height difference of just 63 meters. The railway was first put into operation in the 1986/1987 season. In the middle of the tunnel, the two trains pass each other. The journey takes about 7 minutes. At the Fleissalm, a modern four-person chairlift with weather protection hoods and two drag lifts await guests. The lifts reach up to 2,902 meters. The return to the Rossbach mid-station is only possible via the tunnel railway. There is no piste connection. Around the Schareck (2,604 m), the Schareck and Panorama gondola lifts as well as additional drag lifts provide access to the slopes. In the village of Heiligenblut, a platter lift is available for beginners.
