Access to the Grossglockner Heiligenblut ski area is via the Möll Valley in the Hohe Tauern National Park. In winter, it is only accessible from the south via Winklern, as the Grossglockner High Alpine Road is closed for the season. The nearest motorways are relatively far away. Heiligenblut is situated at 1,301 m at the foot of Austria's highest mountain – the Grossglockner at 3,798 m.
