Description Füssener Jöchle – Grän

From the spacious parking lot at the valley station of the Füssener Jöchle eight-seater gondola, the two Schachen lifts operate just below. The parallel drag lifts take winter sports enthusiasts up to an altitude of 1,323 meters. Beginners can enjoy themselves at these lifts, while advanced skiers can head straight to the eight-seater gondola to reach the Füssener Jöchle.

After a short gondola ride, you arrive at the mountain station at 1,816 meters. From here, you can ski down the other side to the detachable six-seater chairlift Jochalpe, which takes you up to 1,870 meters, the highest point in the Tannheimer Valley. There are wonderful slopes up to a kilometer long with magnificent views of the Allgäu on the north side of the Füssener Jöchle. On intermediate slopes, you can carve your turns on almost treeless hillsides.

From the mountain station of the Jochalpe lift, you can take a connecting trail to the mountain station of the gondola and to the valley run. This intermediate run leads back down to the valley station, the parking lot, and all the way down to the Schachen lifts. The last section of the descent is a beautiful trail through the forest.

Of course, no perfect day of skiing or snowboarding is complete without après-ski. You can stop at the Sonnenalm at the mountain station, at s'Um und Auf at the valley station, at Hotel Sonnenhof, or at the Burgschenke in the village of Grän. Here, you can end your ski or snowboard day in a relaxed atmosphere.

This small ski area has become much more attractive with the addition of the Jochalpe six-seater chairlift, as the slopes there are perfect—there’s something for everyone, including a magnificent view of the Allgäu.
