Access Aspen Mountain & on-site parking

You can access Aspen via well-built roads leading from Highway 70. Unfortunately, there is no parking lot at the Silver Queen gondola. You can park for free at Buttermilk Mountain and take the free shuttle bus to Aspen. Due to the resort's proximity to Aspen, most of the guests arrive by foot or with the hotel shuttle buses.

Winter Closure

Highway 82 towards Twin Lake that goes over the Independence Pass is closed in the winter. Aspen can only be accessed in the winter via Basalt and Glenwood Springs (Highway 70).
