Access, Parking Aspen Highlands

It takes about an hour from Highway 70 to reach Aspen Highlands ski resort. Unfortunately, there is a fee for parking. You can park at Buttermilk Mountain for free and then take the free shuttle bus to Aspen Highlands.

  • Distance: 67 km
  • approx. 54 Minutes driving time

Roads: Highway, Main street, very well-developed, without significant incline
Parking spaces: usually enough available, tarmac car park, for a fee

Winter Closure

Highway 82 towards Twin Lake via Independence Pass is closed in the winter. Aspen can only be accessed in the winter via Basalt and Glenwood Springs (Highway 70).
