The slope preparation is excellent.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.

Detailed description of the ski resort
The parking lots are between Mandarfen and the base station of the glacier lift and if you do not park near the base station a free shuttle bus take you to the entrance. There is also a shuttle bus service from the villages in the Pitzvalley to the base station. The Pitz-Express is a train through the mountain with a length of 3,7 km with an altitude difference of 1120m. You need approx. 8 minutes to go up to the glacier at an elevation of 2860 meters. From here you can ski the hole ski area with its 6 lifts and up to 16 runs. The Pitz-Panoramabahn takes you up to the highest lifted point in Autria, the Hinterer Brunnenkogel with an elevation of 3440m. From here you have several ski runs, intermediate to advanced, back to the start of the Pitz-Panoramabahn. On the right side of the ski resort is the Brunnenkogel t-bar up to 3262m where you will find another two easy to intermediate runs. You can also ski down to the left side, where you find the new eight person gondala with mid station (3000m) Mittelberg up to 3275m. Here you have another four sunny slopes to choose. In the upper section is the t-bar Mittelbergjoch II which open up an easy run. To go back to the Pitz-Express you have to take the new modern high speed detachable six person chair with bubbles and seat heating Gletschersee. In the building of the top station of the Pitz-Express is a panoramic restaurant which offers a large variety of food and drinks for fair prices. All the runs on the glacier are well groomed and you can enjoy wide slopes. The glacier is relatively steep for a glacier ski resort but the steep pieces can be driven around so that the beginnes and advanced skiers and riders can enjoy the slopes. Before leaving you can join some après ski in the "Schirmbar" near the top station of the Pitz-Express and when you are back in the valley, don´t forget to take a look into the SIGLU or the Hexenkessl...
Recapitulating you can say that the Pitztal glacier ski resort is a good resort for the advanced as well for a beginner skier or rider and the après-ski is very funny at the end of an exciting ski day and due to the two new lifts you can reach the start of the runs very comfortable.
