Construction work on the first lifts and slopes in the Goderdzi winter sports area began in 2012. Since the 2015-2016 winter season, the Goderdzi ski resort has been open for skiing and snowboarding. In the near future, it is planned to expand to 35 kilometers of slopes and 8 lifts. It is a major ski resort project in Georgia, but when everything will be completed is still uncertain.
