At the entrance to the valley, the first ski area awaits with the Spieljoch. Absolute hot spots for skiing and snowboarding include the exclusive Hochzillertal with its VIP gondola from BMW Individual and its gourmet gastronomy, which is directly connected to the freeride mecca Hochfügen. In the family-friendly Zillertal Arena, you’ll find the longest valley run in the Zillertal, with around 10 kilometers of slopes and almost 2,000 meters of vertical drop. Mayrhofen shines with the Harakiri, Austria’s steepest slope, the Vans Penken Park, and top après-ski. In the year-round glacier ski area at the Hintertux Glacier, skiing in the Zillertal is even possible in summer.

The Zillertal is named after the river Ziller. It is surrounded by three different mountain ranges. To the east are the Kitzbühel Alps, to the south the Zillertal Alps, and to the west the Tux Alps. Many of the well-groomed, varied slopes in the Zillertal are located above 2,000 meters altitude. The ski resorts in the Zillertal offer, thanks in part to additional technical snowmaking, the highest level of snow reliability.

The ski resorts in the Zillertal have specific offers for every type of guest. There are numerous children’s areas and adventure options for families as well as beginners. Advanced skiers enjoy the long runs, freeriders love the untouched powder slopes, and snowpark fans will also find their happiness in the Zillertal. With the Zillertal Superskipass, all ski resorts can be explored together.

Other advantages of the Zillertal include excellent ski hotels and gastronomy, a vibrant après-ski scene, as well as short distances and a well-developed public transport system. The Zillertal can be reached via the Inntal motorway A12 and by train. Innsbruck Airport is about 40 km away.
