The three ski areas Ratschings-Jaufen, Rosskopf, and Ladurns feature perfectly groomed slopes, inviting ski huts, and modern lift facilities. The Christmas market in Sterzing is part of the original South Tyrolean Christmas markets. In the alpine town of Sterzing, the Christmas market "Sterzinger Glockenweihnacht," one of five original South Tyrolean Christmas markets, takes place from 28.11.2025 - 06.01.2026. The 3 ski areas in the surroundings, Ratschings-Jaufen, Rosskopf, and Ladurns, offer 66 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes, 19 mountain huts, modern lift facilities, and family-friendly ski schools. There is one ski pass valid for all three ski areas. Guests can go tobogganing in all ski areas and side valleys, including on the longest illuminated and snow-covered toboggan run in South Tyrol and Italy at Rosskopf. For cross-country skiing, over 60 kilometers of trails await in the Ridnaun, Ratschings, Pfitsch, and Pflersch valleys. Alpine-Mediterranean cuisine is served in restaurants and huts. Another highlight is the city-mountain combination: from the town of Sterzing, the Rosskopf cable car takes you directly to the local mountain in just 12 minutes. Thanks to its proximity to the main Alpine ridge, snow is guaranteed until spring, with sunny skiing in March and April. The ski season runs from 05.12.2025 to 12.04.2026.

What's new for the 2025/26 season in the ski areas:

In the Rosskopf ski area, visitors can look forward to a new funslope with waves and small jumps. At the Rosskopf valley station, Leitpilot will be introduced, the first fully automated system from the Sterzing cable car manufacturer LEITNER for autonomous operation. In Ladurns, the new Ride and Race Zone awaits with funslope, funcross, and speed measurement track. In the Ratschings-Jaufen ski area, the newly built mountain restaurant "Summit Mountain Club" with panoramic views has been welcoming guests since last winter, located directly at the top station of the gondola lift. It offers a unique location for lovers of South Tyrolean cuisine as well as for corporate events or business meetings in the spacious seminar rooms.

The Sterzing-Ratschings-Gossensass region is accessible by direct train connections from Germany. On site, the Südtirol Guest Pass allows unlimited use of public transport in South Tyrol.
