The Zoncolan ski resort is located in northeastern Italy, not far from the Austrian border. In the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, it lies in the north, in Carnia. From the Alpe-Adria motorway (autostrada), it takes about 30 minutes to reach the ski resort, about 1 hour from Udine, and about 1.5 hours from Villach and Lienz.
The Zoncolan ski resort can be accessed from two sides. From the valley town of Ravascletto, a Funifor cable car takes you up into the ski area. From Sutrio, the second valley town, a well-known mountain pass road leads up to the Zoncolan plateau, providing a second access point. Parking is free of charge.
