Description Weissee Gletscherwelt – Uttendorf

From Uttendorf, it is about 17 km through the Stubach Valley up to Enzingerboden. The last 7 km require navigating 13 hairpin bends before reaching the parking areas at 1,482 m.

From Enzingerboden, the six-person gondola lift takes you up to the Grünsee mid-station (1,742 m) and continues to the Weißsee mountain station at 2,315 m. From here, you can take an easy slope down to the Medelz double chairlift. The 220 chairs gently carry you up to 2,600 m, with the lift ending just below the 2,760 m high Medelzkopf. From the top, a moderately difficult run leads back down to the double chairlift, and there is also a ski route that also ends at the double chairlift.

The view of the Weißsee and Tauernmoossee from up here is excellent. With the short Hüttenhang lift, you can return to the Rudolfshütte and to further runs at the Tauernmoosbahn and the mid-station. About halfway to the mid-station, you can also reach the Rudolfshütte via the Zehnerhang drag lift and the Schafbühel platter lift. At the Zehnerhang lift, there is a difficult run, but you can also bypass it with a moderately difficult slope. The run down to the Grünsee is mostly of medium difficulty with some straight sections.

At the Grünsee, there is the Grünsee platter lift, which was specially built for beginners and children. On the valley run, you have to push along the Grünsee for a short distance before reaching the narrow ski route down to Enzingerboden, which takes you directly to the valley station of the gondola lift and the parking areas.

The slopes, with the exception of the valley run, are all on treeless slopes in high alpine terrain, and you will also find plenty of open ski areas for off-piste descents.

For refreshments, there is the Rudolfshütte, the Gasthaus Grünsee, and two inns at Enzingerboden. They serve traditional Salzburg cuisine. The area is also ideal for ski touring to the nearby peaks.
