Tūroa is the second largest ski area on New Zealand's North Island, featuring one of the country's greatest vertical drops. The six-seater chairlift High Noon Express provides access to the highest lift-served point in New Zealand at 2,322 m. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the North Island. The winter sports area is located below Tahurangi/Mount Ruapehu. Mount Ruapehu, at 2,797 m, is the highest volcano in New Zealand and the highest point on the North Island.
