Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Treble Cone

Treble Cone is famous for its legendary off-piste terrain and the unparalleled views over Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps. Challenging runs scattered throughout the ski area attract advanced skiers to Treble Cone. Endless powder slopes await in the Saddle Basin and Home Basin. Through gates (access points), you can reach the extreme runs in the Matukituki Basin. From the top station of the Saddle Basin Quad, you can hike up to the summit at 2,088 meters via the Summit Hike. The extreme Motatapu Basin is also accessible via gates (access points). However, here you need to climb a fair distance via The Walk Out.
