Thredbo is very well suited for families with children. The ski school is award-winning and offers numerous courses for children from the age of 3. At the Friday Flat practice area, there are several conveyor belts and Wally Wombat's Snow Cave. The slopes in the ski area are very suitable for families. However, there is no free ski pass for small children.

Thredboland

At Thredboland, little ones learn their first turns in the snow from specially trained experts. There is also the opportunity to play and have fun in a parent-free zone. The full-day program includes lunch, snacks, and refreshments.

Friday Flat

The beginner area is ideal for children. Here, they can practice on several conveyor belts and will find very easy and wide slopes. In addition, there is also the four-seater chairlift Easy Does It with child safety features.


Thredbo Alpine Coaster

Thredbo's Alpine Coaster starts at the valley station of the Merritts Gondola and is approximately 1.5 km long. The ride descends through roundabouts, bridges, and tunnels. Passengers can control their own speed of up to 40 km/h. The opening is planned for winter 2024.
