1/16 Ski lifts/ropeways Tauplitz – Bad Mitterndorf
A large part of the slopes is accessed by modern lifts. The Mitterstein cable car is one of the most efficient gondola lifts in Styria and provides access to almost all the slopes below the Lawinenstein. In addition, there is the six-seater chairlift Lawinenstein with weather protection hoods, the four-seater chairlift Schneiderkogel, and the four-seater chairlifts Tauplitzbahnen I+II, which serve as feeder lifts from Tauplitz. The drag lifts and rope tows are mainly reserved for beginners and are hardly needed anymore.
By the way: Tauplitz has a very long skiing tradition. As early as 1937, the first drag lift went into operation, and in 1953, the then longest single chairlift in the world was opened.
