In the Sunshine Village ski area, they rely almost exclusively on natural snow and close slopes when there is insufficient snow cover. There are strict boundaries in the ski area that must not be crossed in order to protect wildlife. Throughout the ski area, you will find waste bins with separate recycling options. The ski area is located in Banff National Park, and great care is taken to protect the environment.
