Very snow-sure thanks to the high altitude of up to 3,250 m, impressive mountain scenery, modern 10-seater Rosim gondola lift with ski bridge, cozy accommodationsNegative points:
The Kanzel and Langenstein areas are only connected by a ski trail in the valley.Description Sulden am Ortler (Solda all'Ortles)
To reach the Sulden cable cars, drive through the entire village until you arrive at the valley station of the Seilbahn Sulden and Rosimbahn at the end of the valley. From there, a mid-station—where you change to the oncoming gondola—takes you up from 1900 m to 2610 m in about 10 minutes. Now you can strap on your skis and float further up into the ski area to 2850 m with the detachable four-seater chairlift with weather protection hoods Madritsch.
From the mountain station, easy runs lead back down to this lift, or you can glide over to the Madritschhütte. The Madritschhütte is also a wonderful place to stop for refreshments. At the Iglu-Bar, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Alps. The detachable four-seater chairlift with weather protection hoods Schöntauf II takes you directly to the highest point in the ski area at 3250 m. From up here, you can carve your way back down to the Madritschhütte on intermediate and advanced slopes. The four-seater chairlift Schöntauf I also starts here, taking you up to an altitude of 3150 m.
From the mountain station of the lift, you can glide back down to the valley station on intermediate runs or take wide and easy runs down to the mountain station of the Seilbahn Sulden. To return to the valley, you can choose between two runs. Experts will take the steep Hochleiten run through a narrow and steep valley to the mid-station, while the "normal" intermediate slope branches off above the mountain station of the Seilbahn Sulden and rejoins the steep run at the mid-station. From the mid-station, a narrow run leads all the way down to Sulden.
Things are a bit quieter at Langenstein and Kanzel. On both slopes, two lifts each take winter sports enthusiasts up to several easy and intermediate runs. Both mountains offer beautiful long forest runs down to the valley. At Langenstein, there are also two marked ski routes. The Rosimbahn (modern 10-seater gondola) starts directly at the valley station of the Seilbahn Sulden and allows quick access to the Kanzel. The Rosimabfahrt leads back to the valley station as an intermediate to advanced run.
After a wonderful day of skiing, you can round off the day in various après-ski venues.
