8-seater chairlift Sudelfeldkopf: the new central facility in the middle Sudelfeld area

The 8-seater chairlift Sudelfeldkopf began operation right on time for the start of the 2017/18 winter season. From the valley station in the Grafenherberg area, guests reach the Sudelfeldkopf at 1,436 m in about four minutes. The new, central facility in the middle Sudelfeld is one of the fastest chairlifts in Germany.

The state-of-the-art 8-seater chairlift "Sudelfeldkopf" is technically up to date. With a travel speed of six meters per second, it transports up to 3,500 people per hour and is among the fastest chairlifts in Germany. The facility is equipped with heated seats and weather protection hoods. For maximum comfort and safety, automatically locking safety bars are provided, which only open upon entering the mountain station. A height-adjustable conveyor belt at the valley station ensures a comfortable and safe entry, especially for children. The new lift facility transports not only winter sports enthusiasts but also pedestrians. As part of this construction project, the snow-covered slope area along the new 8-seater chairlift was also expanded.
