Access & on-site parking

The Spitzingsee-Tegernsee ski area is located in the Tegernsee-Schliersee Alpine region, just over 60 km south of Munich. There are two ways to access the ski area. One entry point is from Schliersee/Spitzingsee via the Stümpflingbahn or the Kurvenlift. The other entry is from the Tegernsee valley via Rottach-Egern with the Suttenbahn.

Most skiers coming from the Munich area take the A8 Munich-Salzburg motorway. From the Weyarn or Irschenberg exits, well-developed roads lead to Schliersee and then on to Spitzingsattel. In snowy conditions, snow chains are recommended, as the mountain road to Spitzingsattel has a significant elevation gain. Here, you can access the ski area via the Stümpflingbahn or the Kurvenlift. From the Holzkirchen exit, well-developed roads lead through the Tegernsee valley and via Rottach-Egern to the Suttenbahn (toll road).

The Spitzingsee-Tegernsee ski area offers 2,500 free parking spaces. Thanks to the BOB KombiTickets, a stress-free journey by train to Fischhausen-Neuhaus (Schliersee) and by bus from Munich is also possible.
