The evaluation is done as follows
Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Solitude
Solitude is very popular among experts and freeriders. The ski area receives very high amounts of fresh snow and is known for its excellent snow quality. This regularly provides ideal conditions for deep powder skiing. The powder snow can remain untouched for days.
Within the ski area boundaries, there are numerous challenges: steep slopes, runs through trees and forests (tree skiing), steep bowls, cliffs, mogul slopes, and powder fields. The powder fields within the ski area boundaries are controlled, and you can basically ski anywhere. Notable are the steep sections in Honeycomb Canyon and at the Summit Express and Powderhorn II chairlifts.
- very many freeride/deep snow areas
- many mogul slopes
- many extremely difficult, steep and unprepared runs (Double Diamonds)

General note: Always mind the avalanche warnings and barriers, please. Never ski into a closed and unsecured area.
