During winter conditions, administrative regulations come into effect (UDOT Traction Law: rules for snow chains, winter tires, and/or all-wheel drive). The road may be temporarily closed due to avalanche danger.
Day guest parking is available at the Moonbeam Base Area valley station. Depending on the day of the week, the season, and the number of people in the car, parking is either free or subject to various fees. Overnight guests in Solitude Village board at the Apex Express.
