When it opened, the Gaislachkogelbahn I was the 8-seater gondola lift with the highest transport capacity in the world (up to 3,600 people per hour). The cable car connects the valley station in Sölden with the Gaislachkogel mid-station. From there, the 3S lift Gaislachkogl II provides access to the Gaislachkogl summit (3,058 m).
