The Savin Kuk ski resort is located about 5 km from Žabljak. It lies at the foot of the Durmitor mountain range in northern Montenegro. Access is via well-developed roads from several directions. There are free parking spaces at the valley station. These can fill up quickly on busy days. Winter Closure
The mountain road P14 from Plužine via Pišče and Prevoj Sedlo to Pošćenski Kraj is closed in winter (Attention: Navigation devices often suggest this route and there are no signs indicating the closure. It is only when you reach the top of the mountain that you realize you cannot continue). Access from the west (Bosnia and Herzegovina) is recommended via the E762 and P5 through Nikšić.
