The plans include a state-of-the-art ski area on Saddle Mountain, which would feature the fifth largest vertical drop in North America.
The resort, with an estimated investment volume of 100 million Canadian dollars, will initially include modern detachable chairlifts, a first-class hotel, a golf course, and additional facilities for deep powder skiing, cross-country skiing, and mountain biking. There are hardly any further expansions planned for Saddle Mountain in the long term. A total of 30 km of ski runs are planned, at elevations between 1,000 m and 2,300 m. The mountain is intended to offer those who can afford it the opportunity to pursue their passion for deep powder skiing on secured, almost deserted terrain, over a vertical drop of 1,300 meters. Heliskiing will remain an integral part of the company, but the ski runs would also allow skiing on days when bad weather keeps the helicopters grounded.
